(release.txt) TalkScribe - transcribing tools for the spoken word Release Notes ------------------------------------- 7/10/97 Version 1.0 Initial Release ------------------------------------- 7/16/97 Version 1.01 Corrected error in readme.txt file - changed from: " ... Product support via mail for a period of sixty (90) days ... " to: " ... Product support via mail for a period of ninety (90) days ... " ------------------------------------- 10/1/97 Version 1.02 Fixed bug related to COMMDLG.DLL file, which caused problems for some Windows 3.1x users. Renamed file TALKER.DLL to METABN12.DLL and changed installation to place it in the Program Install directory rather than the Windows System directory to reduce likelyhood of name collision on users' machines. Added section to on-line help presenting information about dubbing tapes to sound files. Corrected typo in License1.txt. Corrected caption of " ... Ctrl-Click ... " check box in Preferences window. Corrected bug in shut down sequence: clicking on "Cancel" button in "Save As..." dialog (which appears if user has entered unsaved text into a new file) incorrectly caused TalkScribe to exit. Correct behavior is to return to editing mode. Corrected bug in Sound File Open sequence: - if a sound file failed to open, it's name name incorrectly appeared in the title bar of the main windows. Correct behavior is that title bar should display the name of the text and sound files currently open. Corrected bug in Registration Code processing - when navigating to the Process Reg Code window from the Help | Registration menu item, the Main Editing window got the focus, thereby partially or totally obscuring the code entry window. Removed references to cash payment from on-line registration help. Cleaned up registration processing screen sequence. Fixed "Save File As" dialog title on shutdown with unsaved file. Cleaned up sound file controls after unsuccessful sound file open. Discontinued copy to install directory of FILE_ID.DIZ - not needed there.
